About
Stories are made by people, not by companies.
Uncompressed
We make branded documentaries — for organisations that understand that identity matters more than reach.
Where much communication is about attention, we focus on meaning. A brand doesn’t grow only by being visible. It grows because people trust it.
Five principles
- 01
Listening
We don’t start with filming. We start with listening.
- 02
Understanding
We want to know where you come from, where it chafes and what you’re proud of.
- 03
Observing
We steer as little as possible and let what is already there emerge.
- 04
Trust
A small team. No excess. People forget the camera.
- 05
Together
No hand-over, but collaboration. From the first conversation to the last edit we make the choices that matter, together.
How we see
A documentary isn’t told by words alone. The silence after an answer. The distance to a character. The composition of a frame. The blur in an image. Not to make things prettier, but to add meaning. Image and rhythm carry the story.
The people behind Uncompressed

Robbert de Vries
Director
People don’t have to act with us. My strength isn’t in the interview, but in creating an environment where people dare to be themselves. The real story rarely sits in the first answer. A background in psychology (MSc) teaches you not only to ask questions, but above all to listen. Robbert senses quickly where trust arises, and where a story slowly begins to unfold.

Geert Oomens
Director of Photography
15 years curious about everything to do with film and stories. I have a weakness for stories that touch, where an image tells something words can’t. Graduated as a documentary maker at the film academy in Brussels, then deliberately never chose one discipline: filming, editing, animating, concepts. Because I understand every phase, I know what a scene needs. Sauce isn’t the flavour. It only strengthens what is already there.

Cas de Kock
Long-form editing specialist
More than 10 years an editor. From online series to long documentaries: from Roadtrippers (StukTV) to the documentaries of Acda en De Munnik and Bokoesam.

René van Veenhuizen
Motion with a function
Designs motion graphics for NOS, among others, and developed the complete look of several television programmes. Good design doesn’t stand out. It helps the story to be understood better.
